The 4-season combo consists of a medium-weight transitional blanket for most of the year and a light summer blanket for the warm season.

Linked blankets, which are often recommended, shift inside the duvet cover, creating uncomfortable lumps and are difficult to separate again.
It’s enough to cover the heavier blanket and just lay the lighter one on top. This way you get the best warmth effect and can easily move the top blanket aside if it gets too warm.
