BIOFUTON DW 5.2 /sensitiv - gentle comfort
A double latex core made of 2x 5cm highly elastic natural rubber provides the basic comfort. Our special French free-range virgin wool, fine organic cotton, and strong horsehair fibers in the core ensure a cozy and hygienic sleeping climate, and the noble, firm cover made of extra-strong cotton satin (GOTS) completes the experience both visually and tactilely.

Biofuton DW 5.2 is for those who are used to sleeping on softer standard mattresses and now want to switch to the stable, pleasant, and climate-active futon feeling – especially for side sleepers. For the sensitive models in our collection, we use a 12% softer latex. This small difference makes a big impact for sensitive side sleepers... noticeably gentler in contact and body adaptation. To allow this effect to unfold, this model requires the horsehair core; coconut fibers are a bit too firm. Everything else remains the same: this means stable and climate-friendly futon feeling with extra gentle comfort.
Vegan: This futon mattress is conceptually tied to this material selection. In the vegan version, cotton replaces the wool and coconut fiber replaces the horsehair, resulting in a fundamentally different lying experience. We therefore recommend vegans the somewhat firmer but internally consistent Biofuton DW 5.1 or the Biofuton DW 2.2 /sensitiv.
Those who prefer the typical firmness of a futon, which is quite comfortable in this quality class, should choose the identical base model Biofuton DW 5.1.
This luxurious futon is suitable for people weighing 50-100 kg. A futon feels different depending on body weight:
- 50-70kg: soft
- 70-90kg: soft-firm (optimal)
- 90-120kg: increasingly firm
Couple recommendation: This futon is suitable for most couples, even with a larger weight difference.
