This 100% natural latex mattress with two extra layers of pure horsehair impresses in comfort and price, in line with our principle of making good products at good prices.
The extra firm base core (H5 / RG 85) provides high fundamental firmness and makes the Rosshaar Deluxe mattress especially attractive for stomach and back sleepers, even with higher body weight.
The double-sided cover with 1000g/m² of pure horsehair on each side creates not only high stability but also enormous climate activity, meaning a good sleeping climate.
This makes the Rosshaar Deluxe particularly interesting for people who sweat heavily*.

The Rosshaar Deluxe mattress is not hard, only noticeably firmer and more stable on the surface than a full latex mattress. Suitable for people between 50kg and well over 100kg alike.
The cover is also 100% natural, made from organic cotton in two different versions and the especially strong sheep’s wool 'Plein Air' from French free-range sheep. The cotton cover is either woven, firmer fabric or a knitted, more elastic fabric (GOTS).
We have been making this mattress since 1994, about 30 years ago, originally under the brand Form in Form, and it is the loyal customer product that customers keep buying again and again.
Note: From 120cm width, we manufacture the mattress with two cores and one continuous cover. This keeps the whole 'manageable' and you still have a large mattress, guaranteed without a gap!
This model is height-compatible with Naturlatex Deluxe -17cm, ideal for couples with different needs.
Core
The Rosshaar Deluxe mattress is based on a firm 100% natural rubber core 12cm, RG85/m³, covered on both sides with 1000g/m² horsehair each. The core is wrapped in a light organic cotton jersey (GOTS).
The mattress height is approx. 17cm. The firmness is H5 / extra firm (RG 85) and is best suited for people up to approx. 100kg – please use a stable, non-spring slatted frame like our roll or frame slatted base to maintain fundamental stability.
On request and for an additional charge of €60/m² (90x200 = €108), the core can be equipped with horse tail hair instead of horsehair.

Organic Jersey Cover
The organic jersey cover is knitted from first-class, heavy double jersey (organic cotton, GOTS) and quilted/padded with extra fluffy French free-range sheep’s wool 'Plein Air', for a healthy, well-tempered sleeping climate ... and fine comfort. Naturally with all-around zipper and turning loops. The inside is made with single jersey (GOTS).

Organic Satin Cover
The organic satin cover is made from woven cotton (organic) fabric in satin weave, so it is not stretchable. The fit to the body is therefore a bit firmer than with the other covers. The cover is also quilted with our French free-range sheep’s wool 'Plein Air', naturally equipped with an all-around zipper and turning loops. The inside is also made with single jersey (GOTS).

Washing: Covers padded with wool fleece are generally not washable. The self-cleaning effect of natural wool makes this unnecessary. For cleanliness, a molton protector is recommended.
Allergy sufferers
We do not give a general recommendation for allergy sufferers. The topic is too complex and unresolved. First, it should be clarified what type of allergic reactions are present.
In the case of house dust allergy, we recommend Milbopax (BioNeem), an affordable, natural spray available at pharmacies. We do not recommend so-called encasings because they usually impair the sleeping climate and comfort and are mostly made of synthetic materials. In principle, in our view, allergy sufferers / particularly sensitive people are better off on sensitive, natural materials, although there is no scientific proof for this. If you are allergic to plastics, a natural mattress is certainly the right step.
For allergy sufferers for whom washing hygiene is important, we offer a good solution in our ergoVlex mattress range. Here, the latex core, climate layer, and outer cover are separate units, and the cover can be washed. The climate insert can be selected from different materials and can also be treated with the above-mentioned spray.
