Strong Merino wool creates a balanced sleeping climate and provides you with a cozy, hygienic, dry sleeping surface. Besides its climatic properties, the topper offers gentle pressure relief, especially for lighter people, if your mattress surface feels a bit too firm. Conversely, mattresses that are too soft are somewhat stabilized. (An inadequate mattress cannot be made good by a topper alone.)
This climate topper is suitable for everyone, including those sensitive to wool, because the wool is washed at high temperatures and the lanolin content is reduced to a minimum. We consider a small amount of lanolin (wool wax) important for hygiene, which may cause the topper to smell slightly 'sheepy' initially. The wool topper benefits from being aired out for an hour or so occasionally – this regenerates the wool’s hygienic effect.
Note: Topper covers are generally not removable. If you are looking for an additional washable protector for the topper, we recommend the following:
Molton protector, organic – rather warming, to be fixed on the topper (together with the mattress) with elastic bands
Satin protector, organic – neutral, to be fixed on the topper (together with the mattress) with elastic bands
