For over 35 years, probably the best-selling futon of its kind – and a real pleasure for experienced futon sleepers.
The large amount of natural fibers creates the consistent firmness typical of futons and at the same time a cozy and hygienic sleeping climate. The 5 cm natural latex core holds the fibers in shape and provides a good, pleasant basic elasticity and long durability.
For people up to 95 kg who seek the typical futon feel without having to frequently roll or move the futon... very good for stomach sleepers. For side sleepers, especially those aged 50+, it is rather too firm in the long run. For higher weight or age, the parallel model FUTON DX 4plus is recommended, which offers significantly more natural latex for correspondingly more comfort adjustment.
FUTON DX 4 is best placed on an evenly firm base (roll-up slats, tatami/floor) and ideally up to 160 cm wide.
Well suited for use on futon sofas, it also turns a modest frame into an excellent sofa bed.

- 2x > 500 g/m² new wool in Alpine quality, absorbs moisture and cleans sustainably
- The cover: cotton satin from organic farming (GOTS), 300 g/m², tufted

- All futons are made with four sturdy handles sewn into the seam of the cover to make turning the futon easier (please do not use for carrying the futon!).
